20 Weeks

Well, I've made it to 20 weeks - more than halfway there! So far so good! We had a little bit of a scare on Sunday. I woke up with a tiny bit of spotting (TMI, sorry) so I called my doctor. Since it wasn't accompanied by any cramping he told me to just watch it and come in on Monday for an ultrasound.

Thankfully it totally disappeared after a few hours, but I went in on Monday to double check anyway. I haven't dilated at all (thank goodness) and the placenta is fully intact to the uterine wall so he suspects it was just a fragile blood vessel on the cervix that burst. Nothing major, but I have to go back on Monday to make sure nothing has changed. We got to see the babies on the ultrasound and I can't believe how much they have grown in just three short weeks. You couldn't really make out much because they are already getting squished. So cute though. I was so relieved that everything turned out okay. (to my brother Dave, if you read this - don't tell mom and dad. All I need is for them to worry and call me with a million questions. Thanks!)

I decided to try and take a belly pic by myself today with the tripod. It didn't turn out so well, but I don't really care at this point. I will try and have Matt take one later, but for now this will do. People keep telling me how small I am - that I'm not big enough for twins. I don't know where the idea comes from that twins automatically equals HUGE, but I can promise you this...I will be there one of these days so let's just enjoy the smaller tummy while we can okay? :o)
