30 Weeks

Well, we finally made it to 30 weeks - yay! I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that we're finally entering the home stretch. This pregnancy has gone by so fast. I was telling Matt last night that it seems like just yesterday we were shocked with the news that we were expecting, then the news that it was twins and it's just been a whirlwind since then.

I had my 30 week appointment yesterday and everything looks good. Happy moment of the day for me was my weigh-in. Get this...I didn't gain a single.solitary.pound! Go me! The doctor walked in and asked how I was doing, to which I replied "I'm good, how are you?" He then replied, "I know you're just saying that...I have seen too many twin pregnancies and I know you're starting to feel miserable". Man, was he right on! I replied that it was morning so I was still feeling good but if he were to ask me anytime after 3:00 he would have gotten a very different answer. He said all the achiness, uncomfortableness, etc...is totally normal and he would be shocked if I wasn't starting to feel that way at this point in the game.

All in all, everything is continuing to go smoothly. I'm not really having any contractions yet. The only pain of I have had is a sharp, stabbing pain in my cervix which he said is probably due to the babies being so low. I didn't have that pain with Gavin until the last 2-3 weeks so it's kind of crazy to know I'll be having it for the next 7 weeks. Yikes!

I go in again for an ultrasound next time, around 33 weeks. It's crazy to think that after that appointment we will only have 4 more weeks to go. Holy cow! I need to get busy!
