WWF & an Update

WWF, as in "Womb Wrestling Federation". Yes, you read that right. I am convinced that my two boys have started their own sporting federation in the womb. I was laying in bed last night, trying to go to sleep which isn't easy when you are hugely pregnant and uncomfortable, have a sick husband sniffing next to you in bed and your house feels like it's 100 degrees despite the fan that is blowing on your face. No, to make matters worse Cooper & Boston kept me up for at least a half an hour doing what felt like a combination of wrestling, kick-boxing and ballet moves that even hurt sometimes. I'm definitely thinking I must have had too much sugar yesterday, either that or they are protesting their cramped quarters and want out!

Not much else is new on the pregnancy front. I go in for my glucose blood test on Thursday morning, followed by my 30 week appointment. So far, I'm holding steady at 20 pounds gained which isn't too shabby. I'm feeling okay for the most part. I can't say good because then I would be lying. Honestly, I am so uncomfortable I can barely think straight and I'm not quite sure how my stomach can grow any bigger than it already has. I get tired just looking at the stairs and could use a 2-3 hour nap everyday. All in all, I can't complain as this has been a great pregnancy so far but we'll sum it up by saying that I'm definitely happy we're finally in the home stretch. Only 7 to 8 weeks left!

  1. You tell those kiddos to let you get some sleep...lol. I hope u can grab a nap here and there to rest your aching body! Maybe look into booking a maternity massage in a few weeks...I'd ask your OB when it's allowed, tho.

  2. This sounds all too familiar! :)My boys were SO wild the last month...it hurt! I had bruising during my last 3 weeks. I blame it on them getting so crazy!

I agree with the maternity massage, I had one during my last few weeks of pregnancy with each pregnancy- it was HEAVEN and i slept like a baby the night after- every time!

If you can grab a nap each day- DO IT! I know you are a busy mama, but grab one when you can. That was one nice thing about having the twins first- I could nap and not worry about being a mama yet.

I hope you have a good week this week! The yoga cat stretch got me through the pain of my last month. Stretching like this every night before bed calmed the babies down and helped my back feel so much better!

    Oh and.... Keep moisturizing! :)

  3. I have to agree with angelique- it sounds so super familiar! I remember that so well. And it is so cool after they are born you can watch them move and finally figure out what they were doing in there. I swore I had future cirq de sole (sp?) acrobats inside. I think unisom and a new mattress were the only things that helped me through the last couple months.

I did get a maternity massage at 34 weeks. It was fabulous. I had an hour and could have done a 3 hour instead.

Nap now while you can!!! Even with a little one at home get as much sleep as possible. I really think it helps keep those guys in there longer. Sleep and drink lots of water and don't feel guilty about it. You're busy growing two little people inside!

Oh and I don't know if you saw I answered you, but we have a duo glider. Its okay, gets the job done, but not my fave. But it is one of the lighter ones. I would def get a snap and go for the first few months while they are in their infant car seats. It is a life saver. :)
