32-33 Week Appointment

Just real quick, so I don't forget later....

I had my 32-33 week appointment this week and everything still looks good! I have gained a total of 25 lbs so far - not to shabby considering I have only 4 weeks left. We had a ultrasound and got to see our little guys, who look great! Baby A is measuring 3 lbs. 12 ounces and was something like 31 weeks, 1 day if I remember right. So, he's a little behind what I actually am, which was 32 weeks, 4 days at the time. Baby B measured in at 4 lbs. 6 ounces and 32 weeks so they are a half pound a part, which my doctor said is still fine at this point. I started to get really nervous with how different the weights are, but I guess if my doctor is okay with it then I am too. With delivery being just around the corner, I'm starting to worry that this seemingly uncomplicated pregnancy will suddenly take a turn for the worse. I know that isn't likely, but still....

I go in again in two weeks where he will check to see if I am dilated at all. I have started having more contractions, but nothing painful or regular. I mostly seem to notice them if I have been on my feet a lot, walking, etc...or haven't drank enough water. My doctor is awesome and very sympathetic with his twin moms. He understands the whining and the fact that I complain that I feel like a 26 year old stuck in a 50 year olds body. I know Matt's sick of my whining so it made me feel good that my doc understands how I feel, even if he hasn't been through it personally. He said twin moms should get a medal for what they go through...heck yeah! I totally agree with that.

So, that's all have for now. I will try and post some of the ultrasound pictures once I get them scanned.

  1. This phase of the pregnancy goes by so fast!!! Braxton hicks were a pain at this point for me- literally!

Do your boys move around LIKE CRAZY? Like they are fighting for space inside of you? Do they play in your ribs? :)It was hard and it hurts with them moving so much, but it is so amazing!!!

Dont worry about anything...twin births do have their expected complications- but the doctors are all ready for it! Everything will go wonderfully! It is such a wonderful experience!

  2. That is so exciting! Everything will be fine! Keep them in there as long as possible, even though I know you are miserable! But mine were only 10 days early and it was so great, no ICU they got to come home with me and I think it would have been even harder in the long run to have them early, so stay rested and endure!! And yeah, the olympics do need to end cuz you definetly need your rest now!!! Good Luck and can't wait to see how it all goes!

  3. I must have missed these updates! My client who had twins- the babies were something like 5lbs 1oz and 6lbs 10oz when they were born at 37 weeks. So, they were a HUGE difference in weight! I can't believe you're SO CLOSE to having these little guys here!
