I went in yesterday for my appointment. I was 34 weeks, 2 days and so far everything is still looking good! I haven't really gained any more weight so I'm happy about that, but I'm trying my best to keep eating often throughout the day (gotta get these little guys gaining some more weight)!
Anyway, he checked me for the first time and I'm 1.5 cm dialated and 60% effaced. He said that is normal with twins. Everything starts happening sooner and he suspected that I'm right on track to deliver in 3 weeks. I wasn't paying attention though, because he said, "So, you don't want to just pick a date and surprise everyone?", to which I said no. He gave me a surprised look and said, "You're not interested in that at all?" where I shook my head no again. It wasn't until I was driving home that I realized what he actually said. (I thought he was asking if I just wanted to go on my own and suprise everyone, when he really said let's pick a date). So, first thing this morning I called and left a message for his nurse to schedule an induction in case things don't happen on their own (which I'm kind of praying they don't). As of right now, I'm not going to disclose the date to anyone because we want this birth to be low key and more private than last time, so I'll keep you hanging until they are here. :o)
So, that's all I have for now. We have an ultrasound next Thursday to make sure the little dudes are still doing good and then we'll reevaulate my progress and go from there. Until then...
Wow! Already. I think that is neat that you are making their births a "surprise." I am anxious to hear the good news.
