I went in for another appointment today. I'm 23 weeks, 5 days and everything looks perfect. The doctor said my weight gain looks great, even though I'm not all that happy about it. All that slow weight gain in the beginning has finally caught up with me and I am HUGE! I can only imagine what I will look like on the day these little munchkins are born. My blood pressure was a little higher than normal today but I think it's because Gavin had a melt down in the bathroom when I took him in with me for the urine sample. I don't know what he was freaking out about, but he did NOT want to be in that bathroom.
The hearts beats were nice & strong and once again I didn't even ask what their heart rates were. All I know is Dr. H was really happy with how strong they were and how easy they were to find. I asked him if he was planning any vacations around my due date and he said that he would be there. Talk about a sigh of relief! I understand that doctors have lives outside of work, and if I wasn't having twins I could understand if he had something else going on but this time around I need that assurance that he'll be around. He really is the BEST doctor and I trust him 100% with my delivery. In fact, he was the doctor that delivered me when he was fresh out of med school so it's really special to have him deliver my kids as well.
Anyway, it's late and I've had a long, stressful day so I'm off to blow dry my hair and TRY to get some sleep (more on sleeping to come)....
